SOFTWARE FIRST FOR UK COMPANY
|

As part
of the company's strategy of continual development and improvements
to its software, Trax UK Ltd., the Kent based company specialising
in high speed Windows based data capture software, is launching Version
6.20 of its well known Print & Scan system on stand SW55
at the BETT2002 exhibition at Olympia.
Offering
enhanced reporting and analytical facilities for all types of assessment,
surveys, tests and examinations the new version also includes the
ability to undertake continual longitudinal performance related monitoring
of students, including 360 degree appraisal. The system is able to
indicate when tutor or training interventions are needed as well as
highlighting areas of weakness to be addressed.
Starting
with a baseline, users simply select questions from different areas
so as to assess skills, knowledge, behaviour and attitudes as applicable.
Forms are then generated and distributed either electronically via
Web/Email or on paper or a mixture of both technology types. Responses
from students are then captured and the results are then stored and
fed back accordingly. Analysis includes numeric and percentile as
well as graphical outputs. System procedures include automatic reminders
for the generation of follow-on questionnaires at the specific time
intervals laid down plus the ability to adjust the form format to
include additional questions or wording changes where appropriate.
Other
new features include the ability to generate electronic student list
forms in the same format as the paper based version which expands
the possibilities of using the system for on-line registers, student
performance monitoring and any list related option. This continues
the theme of an integrated package that allows users to create their
own survey, assessment, examination or monitoring forms in five
different data capture technology types including paper based (Optical
Mark Reading and/or Image) and paperless/electronic technologies (Web,
Network and E-Mail versions). The system is still the only one of
its type in the world to allow different technologies to utilise a
common platform for designing, generating, linking and processing
any task regardless of the technology type used.
